By-Law Enforcement

Although there are a number of by-laws that require enforcement in the Township, there are two by-laws that are enforced most often as a result of resident complaints. These are the Property Standards and Cleaning and Clearing of Land By-Laws. These by-laws are enforced by a County By-Law Enforcement Officer.

Property Standards By-Law

The Property Standards By-law prescribes the standards for maintenance and occupancy of buildings within the Township of Dawn-Euphemia. The primary purpose of this by-law is to:

  • Require buildings that do not conform to the standards to be repaired and maintained to conform to the standards or for the site to be cleared of all buildings and structures and left in graded and leveled conditions. If you have a concern with the standard of a building within the Township, you may contact the Municipal Office or County of Lambton at the contacts listed below. To have your concern investigated you will be required to provide your name and a contact number.
