Waste Collection / Recycling

The Township of Dawn-Euphemia Council now provides for automated collection for the entire Township. Blue Water Recycling delivered one new "wheelie" waste bin and one new recycle bin to all residential properties in October 2017. The bins were delivered to the edge of your property, in the same location they should be placed by you for collection. Please see the bi-weekly "Waste and Recycling Collection Schedule" below. The following  link provides more information on the waste and recycling programs available in the Township.

Special Waste Collection Days
The Township annually hosts two special waste collection days - one on a Saturday in April and the other on  a Saturday in October at the Dawn Landfill Site.  Items that are accepted at the special waste collection days include appliances, car parts, E-waste, furniture, mattresses, metal/steel, tires and other items not normally placed at the curbside during regular waste collection. Please note that there is a tipping fee for the disposal of non-hazardous construction and demolition materials. Hazardous materials are not accepted at the Dawn Landfill Site.

**Appliances such as refrigerators, freezers, air conditioners, dehumidifiers, etc. must be tagged by a certified technician clearly indicating that CFC’s have been removed and tires must have the rims removed, prior to acceptance.
