The Ministry of Energy under the Green Energy Act and its regulations have mandated the Broader Public Sector (BPS), including municipalities, to develop Energy Conservation and Demand Management (CDM) Plans and to annually report to the Ministry on their energy consumption.
Council adopted the CDM Plan on April 15, 2024. The CDM Plan is for a five-year period beginning in 2028.
