The County of Lambton Building Services Department is responsible for providing building permitting, inspection and enforcement services to the Township. Applications for Building Permits may be downloaded on the Lambton County Building Permits webpage or picked up at the Township Municipal Office or at the County Building in Wyoming.
Building Permits are required for new construction and most changes or additions that you make to your property, including but not limited to:
- New house or structure
- Demolition of an existing structure
- Additions or alterations to house or accessory buildings
- Electrical, mechanical or plumbing changes
- Swimming pools
It is the property owner’s responsibility to ensure that a building permit is obtained if required.
You can now apply for a building permit through Cloudpermit, an online, cloud-based software. Applicants can check the status of the permit, book an inspection, communicate with the Building Services Department, request changes to an existing permit application, and receive results all within the online system.
