Although there are a number of by-laws that require enforcement in the Township, there are two by-laws that are enforced most often as a result of resident complaints. These are the Property Standards and Tidy Yard By-Laws. These by-laws are enforced by a County By-Law Enforcement Officer.

Property Standards By-Law
The Property Standards By-law prescribes the standards for maintenance and occupancy of buildings within the Township of Dawn-Euphemia. The primary purpose of this by-law is to:
- Prescribe standards for the maintenance and occupancy of buildings within the municipality or within any defined area or areas and for prohibiting the occupancy and use of such property that does not conform to the standards
- Require buildings that do not conform to the standards to be repaired and maintained to conform to the standards or for the site to be cleared of all buildings and structures and left in graded and leveled conditions. If you have a concern with the standard of a building within the Township, you may contact the Municipal Office or County of Lambton at the contacts listed below. To have your concern investigated you will be required to provide your name and a contact number.
Tidy Yard By-Law
The Tidy Yard By-Law prescribes standards for the maintenance and occupancy of property within the Township of Dawn-Euphemia. The primary purpose of this by-law is to:
- Prescribe standards for the maintenance and occupancy of property within the municipality or within any defined area or areas and for prohibiting the occupancy and use of such property that does not conform to the standards; and
- Require property that does not conform to the standards to be cleared of all long grass, debris or refuse and maintained to conform to the standards.
