Automated collection is provided to all residential properties in Dawn-Euphemia.
ALL GARBAGE & RECYCLING MUST BE OUT AT THE CURB BY 7AM ON COLLECTION DAY.
The Waste Collection Fees are $150-35 gallon, $250-65 gallon, and $360-95 gallon/per property. The bi-weekly “Waste and Recycling Collection Schedule” is linked below. The following link provides more information on the waste and recycling programs available in the Township.

Residents and businesses are still permitted to bring their household garbage to the Dawn Landfill Site located at 4084 Langbank Line. Recycling can still be taken to Dawn Landfill site or the recycling depot located in the Public Works Yard in Rutherford.
Special Waste Collection Days
The Township annually hosts a special waste collection for two days in September at the Dawn Landfill Site. Keep an eye out on the website for more information. Items that are accepted at the special waste collection days include appliances, car parts, E-waste, furniture, mattresses, metal/steel, tires and other items not normally placed at the curbside during regular waste collection. Please note that there is a tipping fee for the disposal of non-hazardous construction and demolition materials. Hazardous materials are not accepted at the Dawn Landfill Site however, the County of Lambton, in conjunction with Clean Harbors Canada Inc., hosts several HHW collections events each year. The events give Lambton County residents an opportunity to properly dispose of potentially dangerous waste from their homes and protect our environment at the same time. HHW Days take place at the Clean Harbors Canada Inc. site, 4090 Telfer Road in St. Clair Township the last Saturdays of March, April, May, June, September, and October.
Additionally, the County hosts a Mobile Household Hazardous Waste Collection Event
at each of the following locations annually:
- Lambton College Parking Lot at 1457 London Road, Sarnia
- Public Works Forest Depot at 6958 Townsend Line, Lambton Shores
**Appliances such as refrigerators, freezers, air conditioners, dehumidifiers, etc. must be tagged by a certified technician clearly indicating that CFC’s have been removed and tires must have the rims removed, prior to acceptance.
